The week is done, and I am so happy. Also, it's now official. I'm a legitimate art major. Went and changed to it around noon. But let's not get ahead of things. I want to cover some points from this week...
It's been so stressful this week, what with a 5-10pg paper to write, and the frustration of trying to sign up for Spring semester classes. Anyway, I finished up that paper last night, with a few minor touch-ups this morning. It's only really about 4.5 pages long, but I was sick of looking at stuff and I don't think I could know anymore about the Mesozoic climate and geography had I been there... So I'm glad that's done, even though it was really only the rough draft we turned in.
As for Spring classes, I've been running around trying to get it taken care of, and I couldn't talk directly with my open options adviser because she was booked with appointments this week. But talking through e-mail, she recommended just changing to an art major since it's what I really want to do anyway. So then I e-mailed the art adviser asking about open classes and appointment times. She said there are no art classes open, but I could schedule an appointment for early December. So I had to think a while if I really wanted to change, or should I just wait since I can't get any art classes anyway? But I decided I might as well, because it will be more efficient in the long run. So, thus, I am an art major.
As for Spring classes, without art I don't know what I want to do. I've already registered with three lecture classes: History of Art 2, General Psychology, and Intro Sociology; but I'm probably going to drop either psych or socio because they're probably fairly similar. I dunno, I'll talk about that in my appointment. I'm just trying to get enough credit hours set up first, then I'll plan a real schedule. I'm thinking something with more free writing, or an astronomy class perhaps to round out my schedule...
But how about today? Well, I went to my Age of Dinosaurs class, turned in that paper, and then later I went to Expository Writing which... well, it lasted only 5 minutes. All we did was turn in our paper and then we were free to go. But now I've got to work on revision of the last paper so I can get a better grade on it. But other than to turn that in, I don't have to go to writing on Monday. So then after that, I did the whole major change thing, then went home for a bit.
Then I went to the mall to use the ATM. I wanted to go to this thing tonight, a Wizard Rock Concert. It's a fund-raiser type thing and the bands that play are Harry Potter themed. It's only like $5, but I can't get anyone to go with me, so I'll probably join Megan and go to some play tonight instead, and I'll have to wait until the Hallows & Horcruxes Ball in the Spring to see some Wizard Rock bands.
But anyways, I also went to Best Buy. I was finally going to pick up a couple new video games that I've been wanting for a while. I got Animal Crossing City Folk and Shaun White Snowboarding for the Wii. But while I was there, I also found a Jurassic Park three-pack, and I've been in such a mood to watch them that I bought it. So now I know what I'm doing for the rest of my weekend, I suppose. And then after Monday, I can enjoy a nice Thanksgiving break. Woo!
